An informative platform for those who want to deploy.

Let's Begin!

About EMS Task Force

Welcome aboard!

The "EMS Task Force" is all of us. We volunteer to deploy to disaster-affected areas, utilizing our talents and skills to help bolster the local healthcare infrastructure while they are overwhelmed, via Ground & Air Ambulance Tasks Force, and/or Fixed Site personnel taskings.

This website was created as an information clearinghouse, so those who want to deploy can locate the sometimes difficult-to-find answers to their questions.

Feel free to use the menu on this page to navigate the site, and hopefully find what you're looking for. Be sure to check out the FAQ page while you're here!

Thank you for visiting EMS Task Force! If you have any questions or comments, please visit our Contact Page and say hello!

How do I sign up to deploy?

I'm glad you asked!

There are many agencies that contract with American Medical Response (AMR) to deploy as federal sub-contractors under the Office of Emergency Management's (OEM) contract as the "prime EMS/ambulance contractor with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide ground ambulance, air ambulance, paratransit services and non-ambulance EMS personnel to supplement the federal and military response to a disaster, act of terrorism or any other public health emergency."

The following companies are Disaster Network Providers with AMR's Office of Emergency Management. I am including their contact information in order to sign-up with them to deploy.

  • Medical Jets - Send an email with your resume and interest to deployment@medical-jets.com
  • Heartland Ambulance (PCG) - Apply for EMT positions HERE and/or Paramedic positions HERE. (UPDATED 07/19/24)
  • Medic One Medical Response - Fill out their interest form found here.
  • Lakeside EMS - Fill out their deployment application found here.
  • Pafford EMS - Submit an application at www.paffordems.com/careers.
  • Jet Response - Send an email with your resume and interest to admin@jetresponseems.com.
  • EMS Team - Submit an application at www.emsteam.net/careers. Scroll down until you see "Deployment Positions".

  • AMR OEM - AMR also has Seasonal EMT and Seasonal Paramedic Disaster Response positions! Click one to apply!

  • There are many others, however I am unsure if they hire for strictly "deployment only".

If you know of other companies which hire temporary/seasonal employees for deployments, feel free to Email Us!

    Deployment Apparel

We have been creating deployment-specific apparel for a few years via Custom Ink, and making it available for folks who deployed to purchase them.

Starting with Hurricane Laura in 2020, there have been many renderings, due to the multiple hurricanes, a presidential innauguration, and COVID-19 surge, vaccine, and antibody task orders.

If you would like to check out the current design(s) available, we list them on our Facebook page found HERE.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What is this website for?

EMS Task Force is a platform created by a deployment veteran for the purpose of sharing information of a non-sensitive nature, for the benefit of any EMT or Paramedic who is interested in deploying with American Medical Response / Office of Emergency Management (and their Disaster Network Partners), to natural and/or man-made disasters.

    How Do I Deploy?

Visit the Sign Up Now! page, and choose one (or all) of the agencies listed. I recommend applying with all of them, for a better chance at being called up to deploy.

What do I need to take with me on a deployment?

Whichever agency you are deploying with will provide you with a "72 Hour Packing List", with recommendations on what to bring with you in the event that you find yourself away from base-camp, and/or in an austere environment.

I have the same list, with my own additions added after many deployments, to help your experience be a little more comfortable. You can find this list HERE.

My employer wants me to be a 10-99 employee. Is this okay?

Absolutely not. AMR's Office of Emergency Management no longer allows it's Disaster Network Partners to employ 10-99 employees for deployment. You must be a W-4 employee.

Thank you for visiting our FAQs! We will update this page as more questions are submitted. If you'd like to submit a question, send us an email here.
